After completing formal training in design, Vanessa gained extensive knowledge of the construction process on both commercial and residential design projects. Founding VW Design was a natural extension of the technical expertise, project management skills, and strong collaborative relationships cultivated during those formative years. These rich experiences have provided the expert skillset Vanessa uses to guide the design process from concept to construction — on time, on budget, and on point.
Committed to surpassing her client’s intentions and pushing the boundaries of conventional design, Vanessa has cemented herself as one of Edmonton’s top designers. Excelling in high-end, custom home design, Vanessa’s specialized skill set has seen multiple projects, small and large, through to completion.

Just like everything at VW Design, building our team also revolves around the details. So, when we saw her killer organizational skills, penchant for creativity, and knack for customer service, we knew we needed her as our new design assistant and project manager.
And just to make sure we didn’t miss it, the universe gave us another sign. Not only does Vanessa share our founder’s name, but she also has a cat named Pip (you’ve met the office pup, Pip, right?)!
Vanessa graduated with a diploma in Interior Design Technology in 2018, after which she worked in the furniture side of design with a focus on sales. In 2019, Vanessa joined VW Design, where design is full circle. She has enjoyed learning every step of the design process and helps us to exceed our client’s expectations.
Vanessa is a team player who brings a positive attitude and a lot of fun to our office. Her attention to detail and dedication to seeing a project delivered seamlessly make her the perfect person to manage projects and assist with design.
As Vanessa says, there’s always something to learn from every project, and there’s nothing like the thrill of solving a design challenge. For her, there’s no such thing as a boring day at the office.
